With the passing of the five year anniversary on the 26th of December 2009, much of the attention has now turned to the Hands bike ride which is now only a matter of weeks away.  34 riders will begin to arrive in Thailand within the next couple of weeks in preparation for the ride.  

Some will arrive early to acclimatise to the heat of Thailand, whilst others will fly in just in time to commence riding.

The riders will leave Bangkok at 6.30am on the morning of the 18th of January to commence the journey of 800 km to the orphanages where the children will await our arrival.  For many of the riders their journey started over six months ago when they committed to do the ride and raise the $10,000.  Some of the riders got off their bikes in January of 2009 and committed to doing the ride again straight away.  

The fundraising for some has been a journey itself with many reaching a sum they thought impossible having never raised money before.  But as Andrew Bennett from our 2009 ride said "The journey wont be over until we arrive at Baan Tharn Namchai".
