Pratchuap to Ban Krut (day three)

Wednesday 20 January

Today was an easy day only travelling 80kms.  A few highway stretches housed our first inclines for the trip... nothing too major but enough to get the heart rate pumping.

Today cemented Nellie and one of the Thai staff from the orphanage Jong singing prowess.  They have become our karaoke stars singing in both English and Thai at the back of the pack.

Darrin Davies looked a little more comfortable today and loving life thanks to a pair of new bike pants, special bum cream and a new Hands bike riding shirt.  Apparently poor Darrin was feeling a little worst for wear nearly ending yesterday's ride with a tear as his padded shorts were not working as well as he expected.  All sorted now though!!

Erin and Maddie (the mum and daughter team) continued to blitz the Thai roads smiling all the way.

And big smiles were seen by all when the whole bike clan rode into a school and surprised the children eating lunch.

Tomorrow is a long day with lots of hills... there is lots of beer and swimming in the pool to prepare us all for the challenge that lays ahead including Steph's $700 bet that she will run 10kms (to the nearest temple and back) before we set off for the ride at 7am.  Talk about sweating it out for fundraising!!
